The first English mass celebration was held at St. Alfonsus Catholic Church on Friday 29th April 2016 and was led by Father Gregorius Kriswanto, Pr. This mass celebration was held as the symbol of our gratitude to Jesus Crist since He saves us from sins and evil through His resurrection.
This mass celebration was conducted in collaboration between Alpha English Course staffs and Liturgy Team of St. Alfonsus Catholic Church. The Alpha staffs focused on recruiting the committee, such as the lector, psalm reader, altar boys and girls, ushers, organist and choir. The lector, psalm reader, altar boys and girls, ushers were trained by Ms. Maria Magdalena Emy while the choir, which consisted of more than 30 members, was trained intensively by Ms. Maria Goretti Widyastuti.

The first English mass celebration was attended by around 500 people; most of them were from Alpha students and parents, students and teachers of the second state junior high school of Mlati ,Karitas Nandan and Budi Utama elementary school and high school. The mass ran well and was successful since everybody was excited about joining this mass.
